onX

onX maps cover the areas other apps won’t touch. The maps cover hunting, fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities so you can get out of the city and go where you please.

onX decided to rebuild their apps from the ground up and needed a new brand and website to follow suit. With the new look, onX moved from being focused on the niche market of hunting to being a full-blown consumer tech products brand.

A modern brand for a rugged world.

Fellow Portland agency This designed the identity while we fleshed out the brand extensions and website. I art directed the website and designed a user interface focused on modularity and clarity, to ensure consistent design and messaging well into the future.

From desktop to mobile to wilderness.

Making the app installation and sign up process as fast as humanly possible and a consistent brand experience through every detail and interaction.

Blood, sweat and filling tags.

onX users know bullshit when they see it. The content requires an unmatched level of authenticity, requiring an eye educated on the nuances of their outdoor world.

Know where you stand.

onX’s mission is to give people confidence and unlock access to the furthest reaches of the outdoors., and it seems to be working. Since launch, membership has gone through the roof and they received major investment funding. So get downloading and get out there.
